The Movers rocked the Town Green Park today as part of the Saturday Old Town Bowie Summer Concert Series. They were young, they were raw, and they drew a larger-than-normal crowd for that venue. Although the concert was promoted as hip-hop/rock, the band played mostly rock including songs by the
The Doors,
Led Zeppelin, the
Steve Miller Band and
Creedence Clearwater Revival. The lead singer mentioned that this was their first performance.

That's great! They sound good.
ReplyDeleteThe Movers had a lot of support from family and friends. The 2pm/Saturday time slot is not a great one, and the concerts are usually not very well attended.
ReplyDeleteMy son liked the drums and he liked the long hair on the bass player. He's destined to be in a band one day. I saw a set of drums for sale when I drove by a yard sale last weekend. Unfortunately or fortunately, we don't have the room.
