More Summer, 1973 Photos.

I think this photo was taken along Route 197. If you zoom in, you can see a sign in the top right corner of this picture that says "Rockledge." I'm guessing that was the sign for Rockledge Elementary School.

It looks like the "Giant" sign is going up. I assume this is Freestate Mall. You can make out the letter "W" to the left. I'm not sure if the Woolco sign previously hung in this spot, although Woolco was still around after 1973.

Did your house look like this? Does your house look like this?

I'm not sure what neighborhood was under construction in 1973.

I'm not sure if these two photos are related to the construction photos above.

More construction photos. It looks like a goal post and a Levitt cape on the right.

These pictures were posted as part of the Bowie Blade Pic Project, I've been posting pictures taken by Arnie Miles for the Bowie Blade between 1973 and 1975.

Looks like Pointer Ridge architecture (California Modern) and the timeline fits.

  3. If response to the House question that looks like the Mile's house. We lived on a hill and you can see the neighbors are lower and that house does look like the one next door. Arnold has to have more pictures than this, he was always taking photos.
