Weekend Road Work on Route 50 in Bowie
The Maryland State Highway Administration is warning drivers to avoid Route 50 East in Prince George's County between the Capital Beltway and the Anne Arundel County line this weekend (August 27th to 30th). Lane closures will take place between 9pm Friday night and 5am Monday morning. There will be no HOV restrictions during this time. Emergency repairs are being made to sections of concrete damaged by high heat and heavy traffic. Click here to read more information on WTOP (scroll down to the second story on the page).

OMG - I got caught in this last weekend too and it was a major delay! I would definetly avoid Rt. 50 this weekend!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, The problem with that stretch of Route 50 is that once you're on it, there's no getting off for several miles.
