Bowie Memorial Day Parade 2010 in Pictures

More than 100 groups participated in one of the longest Bowie Memorial Day Parades in recent memory. Many groups arrived late, and several groups showed up to march that hadn't registered. Several politicians stopped to shake hands along the parade route, and the parade finally wrapped up three hours after the 11:00am start time. Stonybrook Drive was lined with spectators at the beginning of the parade, but many people didn't stay to the end.

Nearly 200 pictures from the parade can be seen on the Bowie Living Facebook page by clicking here.

Grand Marshal, Lieutenant Colonel Michael J. Sierco. Sierco is a member of the Bowie High School class of 1990, and he graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1994. Sierco flew combat missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
