Bowie Carnivals: Then and Now

A carnival is now open through May 29th in the parking lot of the Bowie Town Center. Below are picture of the current carnival and pictures of a similar carnival that took place in Bowie in May or June of 1975. I'm posting the pictures of the earlier carnival as part of the Bowie Blade Pic Project. Let me know if you recognize any of the people in the 1975 pictures.

    Arnie, my wife took pictures for the Bowie Blade News of a carnival in this spot in 2006, and it sure looks like the same Fun Slide then. The Ferris Wheel definitely predates 1975.

    Intrepid, other than the old/new and black&white/color contrasts, Arnie Miles captured people, and I captured objects. I'll have to get more bold about asking people if I can take their picture.
