So Hot You Can Fry an Egg

June, 1973 was one of the ten hottest Junes on record for the D.C. region, according to the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang. The area was so hot, in fact, that this boy from Bowie tried frying an egg on the street.

  1. Living @ 12320 Cambridge Dr. just a block from Fox Hill, I remember 2 things of this summer; the tar that sealed the cracks in the road was melting and there was a massive train wreck near Glendale country club due to the heat.
