A Prince George's County Police officer and a suspect were both shot during a struggle for the officer's gun after a robbery attempt outside of the BB&T bank just after 10:00am this morning at the corner of Laurel Bowie Road and Old Chapel Road in Bowie. A second suspect was taken into custody, and a search is underway for a third suspect who fled the scene in a car. The officer was shot in the leg, and he/she is expected to be OK. The suspect was shot in the hand.
